Ben Brown
Here is a good middleweight whose absence from the game is surprising. (If someone else has already rated him, I apologize.) Boxrec lists him as a light-heavy, but he fought all of his fights at just around 160 pounds.
Ben "The Belter" Brown fought out of Atlanta from 1936 to 1946. He defeated Teddy Yarosz (twice), Paul Pirrone, Eddie (Babe) Risko, Joe Dundee, and Carmen Barth among others. Al Hostak and Tony Zale knocked him out, and he lost repeatedly to Ken Overlin. (The challenge in rating him was to get him to lose consistently to Overlin while consistently beating Yarosz, both of whom are rated 11 in the game.) Overlin is clearly better than the attached version of Brown, although he does not beat "The Belter" as regularly as he should.
If anyone can tweak my ratings to achieve these results more predictably, I hope you'll post the changes. In the mean time, here is Brown. I couldn't find a picture of him.
