In order to answer your questions, I would have to see your team financial pages. Cash won't jump up at all without a listing in the League News section. However, if teams had a profit during the season, the profit will be applied towards cash. My guess is that teams that "jumped up" to $12.5M had earned enough profits to take them above your league max cash. Teams that stayed at $12.5M already had enough profits to keep them above that threshhold. Meanwhile, teams that operated at a loss during the season are the ones that saw no increase in cash at the end of the season.
