Oh-oh... we may have uncovered more evidence of Black Sox tanking going back even further than Eddie "The Fixer" Whelan's performance in the 1917 World Series. We may have all forgotten the great race in 1915 between the Sox and Cleveland. The two teams finished in a dead heat a top the AL table with 90-65 records after the great one Andrew Murphy twirled a three hit shutout to beat the A's 3-0 while the Indians blew a 3-1 lead with allowing seven runs in the bottom of the 8th to the Red Sox. With the standings deadlocked, the teams met on Monday September 27 in Cleveland for a one game playoff to determine who would face the Cards in the Series.

The Indians busted open a 0-0 pitching duel with 5 *unearned* behind errors by...

First baseman Josh Hitchins (two), catcher Greg Weekveldt and third baseman Kelly Bracky.

Yes, three of the Black Sox Eight.

The Sox would lose the game 7-3, or won 3-2 if one excludes runs allowed in by the Black Sox Eight.
