Does this depend what version patch you're using? Or what roster you're using?

The reason I ask is because in my fictional league, I only have development set to +55 for both hitters and pitchers, and basing on my team (I don't follow the other CPU controlled teams closely enough) I'd say my results are vastly different than yours.

On my current roster, I've got 2 stud hitters who both came up and played regularly as 21 year olds (both won rookie of the year with decent numbers), and have now, at age 26 become marque players. Another player came up at age 22 and has made the All-Star team the past 6 seasons, only missing out during his rookie campaign. He just completed an MVP calibre season at age 29. Two of my pitching prospects came up at age 21 and 22 respectively. Both have become premiere starters and one of them won Rookie of the Year as a 21 year old (16-11, 4.01 ERA, 200+ IP).
