I almost voted for Oldring and McBride as well. The reason I didn't vote for Oldring (I still might vote for him later, as his HR is so far over the others during his era) was that his on base percentage and his slugging percentage did not quite match up to many of the other candidates. As for McBride, I decided against voting for him for the same reason that I don't think that Joe Tinker belongs in the Hall of Fame, that great defense doesn't make up for average to below-average offense.
