OOTP Developments Forums - View Single Post - Game won't run at all on Windows 2003 Server

Whenever I attempt to execute OOTP6 on my Toshiba Tecra M1 running Windows 2003 Server, I get the following, successive error dialogs :

NODIRECTDRAWHW (within a dialog entitled CreateSurface: Backbuffer)

Error InitDirectDraw (within a dialog entitled InitApp)

... and the game does not even start at all.

I've installed the latest (9.0b) version of DirectX for Win2003,
but still I see the same error dialogs.

Could somebody please shed some light on this ?
