There's a reason why I've purchased every version of OOTP since I discovered it. Each version had major enhancements and were delivered exactly as promised.

Patches were immediate when bugs were reported. People weren't flamed when they noted the bugs because Markus jumped on it right away and fixed it.

We waited for the release of OOTP 6 after it was "fully tested and ready."

It most certainly was not ready and still is not after three patches.

Pay attention to the long-timers on this thread who are stating facts. Something went wrong with OOTP 6 and one developer cannot juggle two games, a move from Germany to London and a new business deal without having some consequences or distractions.

I'm still hopeful for some substantive fixes -- based on a wonderful track record.

Expectations are high for this game because it is the best. When you release a new version with lots of exciting marketing, excuse us when we don't share in the enthusiasm when the game has a serious case of the slows, crashes through three patches, and introduces new bugs.
