After building a 16-0-0 record in his native Belgium against utter nobodys whom most did not even have any career wins when they fought Limage, Limage fought another nobody for the Belgian Light Heavyweight Title. Limage KO'd Victor d'Haes in the 8th round in March 1953. LImage held the LHW Title in Belgium for the next 3 years until he fought Alain Cherville in NOvember 1956 for the Belgian Heavyweight Title. Cherville KO'd LImage in the 6th round.

After his 17-0-0 start, Limage then went only 12-17-1 the rest of his career as he started fighting opponents who at least had some ring time. Some of those later opponents included Willi Hopner, Albert Finch, Willi Besmanoff, Cherville, Andre Wyns, Hans Friedrich, Joe Ershine, Dick Richardson, Joe Bygraves, Pedro Klyssens, Hans Kalbfell, and Mino Bozzano.
