Climbed to a 25-1-0,20KO record in 3-1/2 years. Victories included over Mariano Echevarria, Erwin Hack, Uwe Janssen, Hans Friedrich, Jose Peyre, and Bert Whitehurst. Only loss was an 8th round KO to Domenico Baccheschi.
Then three weeks after the Whithurst victory in May 1961, Plinio climbed back into the ring, this time against French heavyweight, Robert Duquesne. Duquesne dispatched Plinio out in 3 rounds. Lighting struck Plinio again later in 1961 when Franco Cavicchi KO'd him in 9. He then fought 3 times in 1962 winning all three against Rene Goubelle, a Luigi Martuzzi and Frankie Daniels.
In March 1963, Giuseppe Migliari knocked Plinio out in the first round. a month later, Scarabellin took on American Tommy Fields. Fields KO'd Scarabellin in the 2nd round. Plinio hung them up after that.
