This unique league file is an experiment created for fun. The idea formed in the OOTP IRC chat room one day when JBmagic, TotalEnd98, Antonym and I were chatting. JBmagic wondered if there was a way to import all players in MLB history in one year and then have a best of the best league. With the help of the other mentioned previously and Darrylr, the whole idea became a reality and here it is.
Even though there are 12,000 players that have appeared in the MLB since 1876, I deleted ones that didn't have significant playing time to make the league file more manageable. Still, you have access to over 5000 of the best players to play in the MLB from 1876 to 2001. The players were imported using my Normalized Career Averages DB at their rookie age. The league is set up like today's MLB, with 30 teams and a 162 game schedule with simple Financials ON. You will begin with a fantasy draft of 50 rounds to set up your team.
Because all players come in at their rookie age, you should not hold any Amateur Drafts for at least 15 seasons. Also, do not import rookies when the game prompts you for it when you proceed to the next season. You do not need to change league totals or anything else. Just unzip the league in to you OOTP 6 folder and play.

P.S.: Dead Ball Era pitchers are rated too highly, but the league is still extremely fun... In my private sim, I had a combined no-hitter in the Game 7 of the World Series by a team that had the fewest wins of any, playing in the post season. That same season saw Ty Cobb take away some else's Triple Crown with the final AB of the season. Info on this will be posted in the Dynasty forum on the OOTP boards.
