Well, if OOTP is going to ever support pre-1900 baseball, that limit will have to be removed. The other limit that might go is the 25 year areer limit.
I'm assuming (at this point) that Markus will have the chance to redesign the DB under SI - but the cost of that might be incompatability with older leagues... we'll have to wait and see.
