gordy has the right answer.. the important thing is to start at 0% for current year stats and build as the season progresses (and the stats stabilize). From there, it's only a matter of preference if you want ratings of past years stats to count more.
The 50-0-30-20 configuration I tested after the original one... and I do think I prefer it better since it places a bit mor emphasis on ratings.
