Well interesting...
I decided to really poke around the processes running in the backround and think I've found the problem.
I run Kaspersky Antivirus but diasble it before playing games. In fact, I never leave it running in the backround and only fire it up when I need to run a scan.
Sems that it leaves a process running in the backround even if you have the av program disabled. It's also a process you can't kill.
I uninstalled Kaspersky and tried to run an import from 1914 and.. No crash! So for now at least things appear to be normal.
