Obviously you don't watch many games Doug... This is taken into consideration in every game that is played in the ML. Players have plenty of AB's over their career to set somewhat of a track record against certain pitchers. No one is stupid enough to say that if a guy is 6-10 that the trend will continue... but let me ask you, if a guy is 25-40 against a pitcher and another is 5-40, who would you play? Of course, I don't think the game is coded that way anyway, which was a good point brought up by a few of the others to comment... but to say it's the silliest idea is silly itself. This game strives for statistcal accurancy and realism, taking the element of pitcher vs hitter is just a part of that... to not include is certainly excluding something...
