Just because some major league managers look at stuff like this and actually base decisions on it doesn't mean their methods have any basis in anything worth making decisions on.

How many current major league players have had enough at bats in their career against a specific pitcher to make any sort of projection about what is likely to occur in their next 4 at bats? How many at bats do you think a player would need to make any sort of statistical correlation? I would dare to say it would be well over a "normal" seasons worth of at bats. The sample size is just way to small to have individual batter/pitcher stats have any statistical significance at all.

My opinion is that this is one of the silliest ideas to ever even consider incorporating in a game like this, but if your idea of a good game is one where Joe Schmo will bat .600 against Heater Harry just because in 10 career at bats he got 6 hits, enjoy your wait.
