Well, just a heads-up for those trying out doubleheaders in the PCL schedule. It turns out that "Strict Rotation" only solves the double starter problem depending on what you do on the day of the doubleheaders.
I just tested this and if you sim the entire day in one go, the same starter will pitch both games of the twin bill. If however you sim the first games of the twin bills individually, then the starter for the second game will be updated and incremented to the proper pitcher. You can then sim the rest of the day in one go and you should have two different starting pitchers in each of the two games.
I say "should" because I did have a case where the same starter pitched both games in spite of having "strict rotation" selected. However, this could be for several reasons, not the least of which I had used "start highest rested starter" option in the league's previous week. This may have mixed up the order a bit. I'll do some more checking on this.
In all cases the player stats accumulate just fine.
Interestingly, if you use a strict 4 man rotation and throw in a spot starter for the second Sunday game, you end up with what amounts to a 5 man rotation. In each two week period, the #1 to #4 starters will pitch 3 games each, while the spot starter will pitch 2 games.
Now, if we could get Markus to have the player and pitcher fatigue updated after each game instead of at the end of the current day, this would almost certainly solve the remaining big doubleheader issue.
Oh, and a little fine-tuning to the AI logic when it comes to pitcher usage, particularly spot starters, and things would likely be very good...
