The problem isn't the game - the problem is with the roster set that gave Ichiro basestealing and speed ratings that were too high. The game settings worked fine given the ratings that Ichiro had that were fed into it. I don't know what roster set you are using, mostly because I only play fictional myself, but GIGO - garbage in, garbage out. Try running a few seasons with OOTP6-generated fictional players and see if you have any complaints about the game. You won't. All your problems are a result of a roster set that doesn't meet your expectations.
