The only thing I would change would be that the franchise player "never" gets traded, as we should all know to never say never. We've seen plenty of "franchise" players traded IRL...Griffey, A-Rod, Brian Giles...
However, the LIKELIHOOD of those players getting traded is pretty slim, and any trades involving them would have to be blockbusters.
What I'd like to see implimented is the 10/5 rule. If a player has ten years of ML experience, the last 5 of them with his current team, he has the right to VETO a trade. That would make it a heck of a lot harder to dump your high-priced aging stars for prospects.
