Outfield

LF- Carl Crawford, 22 yrs.(ML) - Crawford will lead off for the DRays this season, and expect him to steal a ton. His speed is amazing, and his stealing ability is great too. He has good contact hitting, and although he lacks power, its really not neccessary since he can steal the extra bases. He's surehanded out in left field, and has a good arm.

CF- Rocco Baldelli, 22 yrs.(ML) - Baldelli is just an amazing prospect. He has great contact, and solid power as well. He will steal plenty of bases, as his speed is comparable to that of Crawford. He can play all three OF positions greatly, and has a cannon from the field. His only downside is his poor eye at the plate, but expect him to work at that and improve.

RF- Jose Cruz, 29 yrs.(ML) - Cruz is the old man in the outfield, and probably won't be around for long. We have some solid RF in the minors, and they will be ready to compete at the ML level by the end of the season. Cruz has nice power, and will hit for contact once in a while. He's a pretty good base stealing as well for how slow he is.

Jonny Gomes, LF, 23yrs. Gomes is a 3 star prospect with solid contact and power as well as amazing speed. He's very similar to our current LF, Carl Crawford.

Josh Hamilton, RF, 22 yrs. Hamilton is a 3 1/2 star prospect with good speed, power, and contact. He will move into the ML by the end of the year with any luck, replacing Cruz.

Joey Gomes, LF, 24 yrs. Joey, the older brother of Jonny, is out to prove that he is better than his little bro. His playing style is very similar to his brother, except many think his brother has a little more potential to be great, while Joey will be just a decent ballplayer.

OVERALL GRADE: B+ .. Very solid, very young, very talented. Waiting in the minors are more talented players.
