ACibella's 60-day DL fix worked for me.
I was having the same problem in August of 2005 using CBL Rosters. I uninjured my guys and took them off the DL entirely using the editor (I had two players on the 60 day DL, 1 had just been put there from my 25-man roster when the problem started).
Month later and the game still hasn't crashed.
