The only thing I'd like to see is that after a certain number of pitches an at-bat, the batter's chances of getting a hit improves. When you see six-eight pitches in an at-bat, you've seen all the pitcher can possibly throw at you.
But foul balls can made an at-bat, especially in a pressure-packed situation (tying run on second in a one-run ballgame late in the game) very stressful, but in a good way.
