FIGHT OF THE YEAR
Battling Nelson vs Andy Bowen ... both fighters faced the possibility of dropping to 1-3 in this December fight. Nelson was dropped in round 2, and then cut in the 3rd. Every round between the 4th and the 9th was within 3 on the point totals. I had it 86-85 in favor of Bowen going into the 10th. Ringside analyst Tom Trunzo had it 87-84 in favor of Bowen. With 1 minute left in the 10th, Nelson was trailing 10-7 on punch points, when he dropped Bowen. He piled on until the end of the round winning punch points 21-10.
Going to the score cards I had 95-94 Nelson, and Trunzo had it 95-94 Bowen. The judges scored it 95-94 Nelson, 95-93 Bowen, and the final judge who wasn't watching the fight scored it 97-92 Nelson. Nelson won only because of the knockdown with 1 minute to go.
Note at Bottom

.... I am going to drop some middle of the road heavies into the LightHeavy division every year starting in 1901 .... to try and even it out some
