I simply don't have time to play out every game of my franchise in my fictional league. When I first started playing, I used to play out every game ... it was fun, but very time consuming. So I've established a practice where I will sim most games and select the so-called "Game of the Week" to play out. If things get exciting in September, I may play out more games. And when it comes to playoffs and World Series, play out if my team is there.
