Established League looking for Experienced Commish

Looking for an established OOTP league that you can take over and run? Want another league that is already established??? Here is that chance... Step on in and take over the commish duties!!!

I am the founder and Commish of the S3BL. (Strike Three Baseball League). When I started this league, I had no OOTP online experience and I started it as a beginners or rookie league. It had a few growing pains, but all in all, what I have built is a well run, dedicated and fair league. It is fair to a fault, with my own Pirates missing the playoffs every year it has been around by one game, 2 games and then last year making the playoffs just before I realized I forgot to import the team files... so I re-ran the last week's SIM and ended up losing in the last game!

Anyway, the league is great and has about 20-25 dedicated GM's. There is about a 5 or 6 team turn over, but that has slowed each year. The guys who are there are very happy and dedicated. We get alot of participation and activity from everyone.

The reason for this post is I don't want the league to die. I just do not have the time to run the league anymore. I dont have the time for running the SIM's, processing the trades and signings, and running the off season. For the current season, one of the other GM's in the league is running the SIM's and I am acting as the co-commish. He indicated that he only wanted the job temporarily until a new commish could be found... hence this post.

I am looking for an experienced and knowledgeable commish who can run the SIM's and offseason stuff. I will be remaining in the league and also have authoritative powers over rules, disputes, and league issues. You too would obviously have a say as well as the new commish.

We are not looking for someone to come in here and change everything around... we are strong and well run, I just need someone to take over.

We have an excellent website at: http://www.s3bl.ootp-leagues.com/ so go and check it out.

There are currently a few teams that are not as active as they used to be so you would be able to take one of them. They are Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Chicago White Sox, and maybe one other. I have sent emails out and am waiting to hear their replies.

There would be a few stipulations:

1) I remain as co-commish and reserve the right to take back control. I am not going to interfere, but if I decide you are running my league into the ground, I want to be able to save it.

2) You would need to keep up with the schedule (M-W-F SIM's) and maintain email communication with the league. One stand in GM this year missed a bunch of SIM's and never emailed anyone so no one knew what was going on.

3) No major rule changes. The GM's in this league like the way it is run. When an issue comes up, we decide democratically as a league. If you have an idea we would be happy to put it to the league but you cant just come in here and change the way we run the league.

4) Must have capability and knowledge of FTP and uploading the HTML files, league reports, and league file. I can explain how we do it, I wrote a very detailed walk thru.

So basically that is it. If you used to run a league and were looking for an easy way to get back into the game, here it is... If you have a league and wanted another one, here is that chance...
