That test wouldn't work, because it would fail to take into account the effects of aging. The sample size is way too small as well. What we really need to do is to take the next three draft classes, give 1/3 of them steroids (on a random basis), 1/3 a placebo, and 1/3 nothing, and then compare their statistics after 15 years.
That would really calculate the effects of steroids on the game.
