A 50s Heavyweight

Frank Cowen, who I had the pleasure of working with in the early and mid 80s at Griffis AFB, faught as a Heavy from 1952-1954 and compiled a record of 13-3 12 KOs. In his final two fights, he lost via KO to Ernie Cabb who forced him to backup which is something he didn't do well. When Frank was in the army during WW2, he parachuted into a freeway in Germany and got him by a truck which did some damage to his hips. He had amature wins over: Hurrican Tommy Jackson and Rex Lyane and sparred with Ezzard Charles.
