I hate to go off topic in a thread I started, but I can't help myself.
Socialism is an economic ideology. You can have a socialist democracy, like Sweden or a socialist dictatorship, like Cuba...but socialism in itself cannot be compared on the same spectrum as democracy or dictatorship...it's like apples and oranges.
