Just like grade school, but I digress.
I'm playing as the Red Sox, and have made the playoffs 7 out of the past 10 seasons (including 2 championships).
I've always dealt with the players I wanted to retain quickly (usually never let them hit free agency), and didn't bother low-balling players I was semi-interested in.
The ONLY bad thing I did was yank an offer from a middle reliever (and only when I found out I could get Matt Morris for 4m per season).
Anyhow, the last two seasons in the FA market it seems that all my first choices "simply do not like me". For fun, I checked out all of the top free agents (even if I didn't really need them), and of what I deemed to be the 10 most desirable,
8 of them wanted nothing to do with me.
Is this:
- a weird glitch in the system?
- an internal check to keep the league competitive?
- the result of ONE bad dealing w/ a FA?
or, is it merely the result of Markus' dislike for the Sox?

<yes, yes, I'm kidding>
Any thoughts?
