Tribe open the top of the inning on the warpath. Eddie Stanky walks and Stan Spence singles to movie Stanky along to third. Hank Edwards follows with a sac fly and Earl Torgeson then doubles home Spence. Two batters later Willie Jones knocks home Torgeson. Four runs scored in the innings by the Tribe.
In the bottom half, Harry Walker is driven home by Monte Irvin to cut the lead to two.
