It reminds me of the NFL's latest crusade against celebration, with announcers never inquiring as to whether fans enjoy seeing players act silly after a touchdown. I'm not saying whether I'm for or against them, but no way in Hell should the NFL tell the viewers what's "for their own good." Maybe the viewers don't see NFL stadiums as churches the way the announcers do, and they like a multi-faceted form of entertainment. Nevertheless, the media and the league try to hammer home the concept that the NFL field is a sacred ground where humor and individuality are barred, and do not even offer the viewers a potential dissenting opinion.
