I am sure that the developers and publishers of OOTP will disagree with you regarding ownership of the product.
At $19.95 for a program that actually works and considering the support by OOTP as well as the material (mods, graphics, rosters, etc., all the latter available for free), it is a bargain.
Besides, the FTP exports speed up the game and reduce the chance of error.
You should really reconsider and purchase a copy of the game if you enjoy it so much.
