That's why my rules include something that basically says I can overrule everything or add a rule or whatever if I feel it's in the best interests of the league. There will ALWAYS be loopholes and you can't account for all of them in your rules. Generally, you're supposed to hope that owners won't exploit the flaws in the game, but occasionally, there are some that do. I remember almost a decade of simming ago the Yankees owner decided to take on a LOT of 1 year contracts that pushed his payroll up over 180 million because "The game won't let you go in debt more than 5 million!"

...naturally he was shocked when I corrected his finances to be in debt the exact amount that he was supposed to be that season.

Point is, you shouldn't be trying to exploit the game and if you ARE a commissioner, not only is it really bad then, but you should be taking measures to try to prevent it.
