I didnt really think i needed to get everything perfect since some data just isnt available and since i had to use some fictional players anyway.
But it probably only took me an hour at the most.

I usually go kinda nuts with the editing. I fix all of the fielding data (which takes forever), and usually have to tinker with the pitching stuff as well - the 11 or so pitchers of 1871 have no data for pitching stats (at least in the 4.5 version of the database, which I use to avoid the dreading disappearing player bug). All in all, it's about a 5-6 hour process - less if I give it my undivided attention, which I usually don't.
