Angels Continue to Lock Up Their Core, Sign José Soriano to Four-Year Extension

The Angels have continued their commitment to keeping their young core together, announcing a four-year contract extension with right-hander José Soriano. The agreement guarantees Soriano $34.3 million over the next three seasons while including a club option for 2030.

2028: $11.5 million
2029: $15.3 million
2030: $15.3 million club option.

Like to the deals with Zach Neto and Reid Detmers, the Angels are essentially paying Soriano his current estimated value in arbitration for the next two seasons and buying out up to two years of free agency.
