Random debut question
I've been tinkering around with random debut settings trying to find the right set up and I've seen something that raised some questions.
I understand that this format results in players being imported into the league, either in a draft pool or as free agents, with the age that they made their MLB debut. That part makes sense to me. I also understand that a player's potential rating can be based on either their full career or peak seasons. That part also makes total sense to me.
What caught my attention is that these players are imported in with their current ratings already being maxed out. Do I have some check box or setting configured wrong that might be resulting in this?
For example, a 19yo player with 70 potential makes total sense if they had a superstar career, but surely they weren't a 70 overall at age 19 when they debuted, right? Is there some setting that might be making their current ratings this high as a rookie?
