Well, I tried switching off 3D view, thinking that was the issue, and I was able to play through another World Series game in 2D.

Then I fired up the game again today and tried to play out Game 6, and it crashed while simming, even though I had 2D mode enabled.

I guess my save is corrupt? If so, that's a bummer, because I was having some fun with this one.
