The Jacksonville Ragin Cajuns (formerly the Florida Marlins) gave 34 year old Porter Hodge $57 million dollars a year for three years plus a vesting option for a fourth. To be fair, Porter Hodge just won the Cy Young Award as a starting pitcher. But they have promised him the closer role. Which, to look at the positive side, guarantees that vesting option won't vest because it requires him to start 25 games. Enjoy your $57 million a year closer, I guess.
