Flyers indeed won. They and Ottawa were the only 2 in the East in a tight race that actually came through.

Montreal got shut out @ home by the Devils. So they failed to climb into a tie w/Tampa. Canadians 8 game win streak is now kaput.

Caps got walloped by the last in the entire conference Rangers. So they lost a chance to tie the Islanders (Who knew Saturday would be Roy's last game as HC?) & leap frog the Red Wings & Blue Jackets. The idle Isles not only fell out of the automatic Top 3 berth in the Metro, they are now behind the Senators for the final spot.

Wild's win over Detroit inched Minny to 2 points behind Central #2 Dallas.

Two biggies tomorrow. Tampa visits Buffalo. Sabres regulation win pulse them into a tie for 1st. A Lightning win widens their lead to 3 or 4, plus put them ahead of Carolina for home ice in the East.

Out in LA, Nashville visits the Kings as both are tied @ 81 for the final playoff spot in the west.
