Well I was wrong again. Just played a game and the flash was back. I seem to notice it more with men on base.

I think I'm getting closer to pin pointing this. It looks like it happens only when there is a runner on 1st base. I hit a double. Next batter it didn't do it. Batter popped out. Next batter walked now 1st and 2nd. Then it did it with the next batter and 1st and second base occupied. With no runners on I don't see it.
