I work in the software industry, and I've worked on both small and large teams. If you pay for a product based on the promise of early access, you should be able to access it early. I stand by that statement, and it initially sounded like we could be waiting for a long time. With a delay of a few hours, I don't have a problem with it at all, and there is plenty of evidence of that in what I said. I don't think I said anything in a tone that was out of line, I was respectful and acknowledged that issues can come up. I also expect there to be plenty of issues with the software once I *can* access it. People in this thread are acting like I demanded a copy of what the game will be like on release day. I expect there to be bugs, and I enjoy hunting for them in an effort to be useful.
I could go on, and address the other commenter that quoted me too, but I think it's kind of a waste of space on this thread - & I would just not respond to you, but I do want to highlight how unproductive it is to A) get irritated in the first place and B) keep posting about it in this thread now that the issue is resolved. (I know I'm guilty of the same now -- look what you made me do! ) But seriously, if you wanted to jump on someone there were people that were way more negative in tone than I was.
I do want to also say that I had no problem at all with them releasing the Windows version first, people are putting words in other people's mouths with that. Obviously that was the right move given the situation. I didn't complain about that. The issue would be if Mac wasn't available for most of the pre-order window, I'd want to refund the product so I could buy it on Steam for easier use. That's really all, you're making mountains out of molehills folks...

The response to Fabtron's "Mac?" post, the "try reading" post, started an unnecessary fire IMHO.
FWIW I didn't see anything wrong with what or how you posted. All fair enough. However you weren't the only one to post. That doesn't mean I think the responses to the other posts were helpful. It only means all responses weren't directed at you. Take my response. It wasn't directed at anything you said. It was a reply to another Mac user who brought up delaying the PC version. My guess is he commented on that because Matt brought it up in the original post.

I know my comment on delay was not me putting words in your mouth. My comment on delay was because Matt and greg_oz had brought up the subject.
I was simply agreeing with what they said and noted it wouldn't matter which version was delayed. Either way it would be a mistake.
In any case glad you got it yesterday and I hope you are enjoying it.
