Mike Soroka kicked things off in style, allowing only one run in seven innings against the Rays.
The Jays were opening their season in Tampa, and they romped to an 11-5 win.
Rafael Devers, Giancarlo Stanton, Bo Bichette, and Max Kepler all homered for Toronto.
Tim Locastro reached safely in all five of his plate appearances, but after his 9th inning double, he left the game and went straight to the trainer's room.
