Hoping the Arkansas Traveler trade Alan Trammell at some point. Trammell just can't catch on with the Travelers. He had a decent rookie year, then found himself on the reserve roster for a couple seasons, as the Travelers went with Royce Clayton at SS. Then prior to the 83 season, the Clayton moved on, either as a free agent or a trade. Trammell took over as the every day SS. Then in 84, Trammell once again started the season as the every day SS, but at some point he found himself sitting the bench, while the mighty Mike Benjamin started at SS for the Travelers. I say mighty, because Benjamin is tomato paste at the plate. Dude struggles to keep his average above .200 with zero power period. Thing is Benjamin's fielding rating at SS is above 100, while if I remember correctly Trammell rolls with a 69 at SS. Trammell's 1984 became pretty much backup starts at SS and DH combined with pinch hitting duties. In 1985 Benjamin is right back as the Travelers every day SS. Trammell is getting more at bats in 85 as the Travelers DH. Mainly due to Eric Davis taking a seat on the bench. Davis is getting backup at bats when he plays LF as as well.
Really hoping to see the news that the Travelers have traded Trammell away. Either that or he becomes a free agent.
