Acuña delivered across the board, finishing the season with a .305 batting average while piling up 38 doubles, 4 triples, 38 home runs, and 114 RBI for a slashline of .305/.395/.580 that generated 8.0 WAR. Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts (.297/.376.520; 8.4 WAR) finished second in the MVP voting after another standout campaign, while Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (.313/.353/.568; 6.3 WAR) placed third.
