  • On Thursday Jacksonville lefty Scott Herman went 5.2 innings in an 8-0 win over San Francisco for career victory #200. He has spent all 14+ years of his IBL career in Jacksonville where he is 200-146 4.01 in 463 games, all starts. A 2001 and 2010 World Champion with Jacksonville he's led the league in starts 5 times, innings 3 times WHIP once and BB/9 one time as well. His 200 wins are 8th all-time and 5th among active pitchers.
  • On Sunday the Chicago Hitmen learned ace Aaron Zuch would be undergoing exploratory shoulder surgery and be lost for at least the next 9-10 months. The 25 year old 2010 Koufax winner was 9-6 3.23 for the “2nd place” Chicago club. I put the “” around 2nd place because they are 65-74 and 12 games behind Dallas.
