LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS

NL POTW- RF DJ Groff (EP) 13-31 4 HR 17 RBI (New IBL Record for 1 week)
- Atlanta's 2008 1st rounder, 20-year-old Matt Quaranta, was 7-3 3.38 this year, and is 16-4 2.71 over his 32 career starts with 197 punchouts to 52 walks and a 1.07 WHIP. He's legit and their future ace. Going to have to put that future on hold as he was diagnosed with a torn labrum and will have surgery or Friday. He's expected to miss 10-11 months.
- 2007 Jackie Robinson Award winner Tony Flores (OKC) went 4-4 and drove in 5, hitting 3 HR's in a 9-1 win over Phoenix.
- Pittsburgh's Adam Sharpe became the 1st IBL pitcher to twirl 2 no-hitters in a season, and in a career. The 20-year-old Koufax leader fanned 8 and walked 2 in the 100-pitch 6-0 masterpiece over New England. He's 10-3 1.76 in 18 starts.
