Where did I say they aren't big business?
Calling it the "family business" means this is their main source of income. They aren't like most owners who made a fortune elsewhere & bought a franchise as their side hustle. If the Panthers disappear tomorrow, Tepper will still be running a billion dollar business. That gives him leverage to play hardball. The Halases don't have the luxury of a ton of income outside of the Bears. And leaving Chicago isn't that much of a threat. That changes the negotiating position. Illinois can say we dare you to move. Charlotte knows the Panthers leaving is w/in the realm of possibility.
