IDK about that in this case. Bears are a family business. Leaving the Chicago market is not an option. Voters are split between rural Illinois and urban Chicago. And welfare stadiums are growing unpopular internationally, not just in America.
I think the Bears released this "Indiana" news as an attempt to leverage their current field success and gather a swell of pressure on state and local politicians. Because the Bears don't have the leverage a Dave Tepper has in Charlotte.
They will probably strike a deal. But getting a blank check like the Panthers did might not be in the future.
