Phoenix wins 100 again, and then falls to the New York Punishers. NY goes on to beat Jacksonville 4-0 in the NLCS before meeting up with the Columbus Black Knights. A team in just their 4th season! Columbus hangs tough and ends up beating New York in 7 games to become the fastest expansion team to ever win a title!
In the NL New York sllugger Isaiah Hart hits .326 with 55 HR and 130 RBI's to win the Hank Aaron award while teammate Rob Kilmer goes 13-12 2.82 to win the Koufax. Kilmer has 7 gold gloves to his name as well.
Atlanta rookie Jorge Cortez hits 33 HR's and drives in 109 to win the Jackie Robinson award.
Jacksonville closer Alejandro Paez goes 7-5 2.62 over 99.2 IP to win his 3rd Rivera award.
The Black Knights (97-65) win the AL East going away by 12 games over Brooklyn.
Utah's Jay Anguiano wins his 2nd Hank Aaron after hitting 44 HR, stealing 17, driving in 108 and scoring 121. Teammate Francisco Alvarez leads the league for the third straight year in wins and takes home his first Koufax, going 17-7 2.80.
Brooklyn RF Elliott Weigner hits .313/.357/.546 to win the AL Jackie Robinson.
Columbus Closer Jeremy Sacks goes 9-3 27 Saves with a 1.85 to win the Rivera for the World Champion Black Knights.
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
With 8 Gold Gloves, an MVP, 4 Silver Sluggers and 4 All Star appearances Boston 2B Jun-Young Lee added another feather in his cap. On May 12th, in a game vs Wyoming, he went 4-5 hitting 4 HR's and driving in 7 to become just the 3rd player ever to homer 4 times in a game.
LA's Myles Gaines tossed a no-no vs New York. It was the years only no-hitter and the 2nd year in a row just one was thrown, both by LA pitchers.
Roadrunner Takeya Yasuda hit 50 HR's for the 2nd time in his career.
Seth Wilson (DAL), Jay Anguiano (UT) Matt Graham (NE) and Nick Savignano (LV) all joined the 400 HR club.
Yaagov Hysh won his 200th and became the IBL's first 3000 K club member.
