14 games against 7 other teams in own division (7H/7A)

8 games against other division's teams (4H/4A)

Two leagues are essentially mirror images of each other, except that some of the off days are different

No interleague games

No cases of more than 20 straight days without offday

No homestands or roadtrips longer than 14 games

All game times on Monday through Friday set at 7:05pm, except some Friday games

Season begins first Monday on or after April 1
Season thus ends late September

All-Star Game set for first Tuesday on or after July 9

Weekend games starts at 2:05 PM

Off days only on Monday through Thursday

Some Friday games are day games to prevent teams from having a night game that is followed the next day by a day game at a different ballpark
