Yeah, for one of the better pitchers of his time to get hit that hard by a bad team, the injury had to be pretty obvious. IRL he would know warming up that he couldn't pitch. I mean, the pitching staffs in 1911 were small, but anybody could start (the bullpen was essentially failed starters). Maybe the problem is with how the "DTD" algorithm works. I have had position players who play through DTD injuries without any effect. But I worry that playing a guy with a DTD injury could lead to a serious injury. That risk ought to be built into playing a guy with a DTD injury reported. Maybe if I have a "Legendary" trainer, he makes it through?
